Training Seminars for the public cultural sector

Around 50 people from Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay received capacity-building in theoretical and practical tools for the sector.

The capacity-building and training seminars organized by the Institute of Public Culture (ICP) since April 2014 for 50 public workers from Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay concluded Saturday July 4 with a ceremony headed by the Minister of Culture, Teresa Parodi, and undersecretary of Public Culture and Creativity, Maria Elena Troncoso, at the Kirchner Cultural Center.

"For those of us who, from the new spaces created by and for culture, have the responsibility of planning, design and undertake federal actions in order for this extraordinary transformation to reach all corners of Argentina, it is an honor to count on this capacity-building by ICP, "said the minister during the meeting. The teachers in charge of the contents were also present at the meeting.
The closing of this stage of capacity-building and training meets some of the main objectives of the seminars, which aim to contribute to providing specialized theoretical and practical tools and strengthen ties between cultural agents.

"We congratulate all the workers who completed the training course and encourage them to continue efforts to enhance and make grow the culture of our people that have known to use tools to fulfill their dreams," said Parodi.

During the ceremony, the twelve seminars held in places like the Falklands Museum, Casa del Bicentenario, the Historical and Numismatic Museum "José Evaristo Uriburu (H)," Casa Patria Grande, the National History Museum, Instituto Juan Domingo Perón, National Radio, the Cultural Centre of Memory Haroldo Conti, Casa Torcuato Tasso, the
Troncoso, also executive director of ICP, said: "We must continue transforming and deepening the role of the state through the capacity-building of public servants in the cultural sector in this country and in Latin America. This is the main objective of ICP and we can see the results here today. "

During the ceremony, tribute was also paid to Guillermina Milocco, federal civil servant in the cultural sector and participants in the capacity-building that died in August 2014.
