National Council for Culture at its 6th regular meeting held on 9 July 2015, considered the Draft Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law for the implementation of the public interest in culture.

From the public consultation it showed that the proposal brings some positive changes for the self-employed. The Article 82 b attempts to self-provide even comparable pay, as they have for the same work in the system of wage workers in the public sector. Unfortunately, because of unregulated finance it is unlikely to be so determined to practice can be successfully implemented. The proposed changes is modest and too parcial to contribute to a better and more effective functioning of Slovenian culture. 

The National Council for Culture proposes to lead and corresponding professional services of the Ministry of Culture acquainted in detail with existing efforts for new cultural model and based on the knowledge of all groups which have been professionally dealt with this issue up with a new, time suitable law on culture.
