Museum collections are made up of the tangible products of our cultural heritage, and are crucially important to the collective memory of our past (from which all future efforts stem). This is especially important for a country like Mongolia with a strong nomadic culture. Mongolian museum objects range from ancient Neolithic petroglyphs to stunning 17th century Buddhist art, and 20th century ethnographic artifacts. To maximize protection of Mongolian museum collections the Arts Council of Mongolia (ACM) has initiated “Museum Preservation Training and Supplies”.
