Creating Collaborations and Growing Audiences

Creative Europe Desk UK,
25 September 2015, Northern Ireland

Arts and heritage organisations, local authorities, higher education institutions and others working in the creative field are invited to this free all-Ireland conference, which takes a closer look at Creative Europe’s funding and opportunities for the creative sectors.

The main themes of the conference are international collaboration, an essential part of most applications to Creative Europe’s Culture sub-programme, and audience development, one of the key priorities of Creative Europe. During the afternoon, we will consider how the Creative Europe’s priorities could be realised, identify how to incorporate audience development into projects, and learn about how to build creative partnerships and manage collaborative projects.

The conference is organised by Creative Europe Desk UK – Northern Ireland in partnership with Creative Europe Desk Ireland. Speakers include:

—Mark Ball from LIFT will share their extensive experience of cultural collaborations and EU funded projects

—Margaret Henry from Audiences NI and Una Carmody from Arts Audiences will talk about how to connect culture and audiences, and how to map and maintain your audience

—Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland will present their EU-funded Cooperation Project, new music: new audiences

—Christoph Jankowski and Shauna McNeilly from Creative Europe Desk UK will give an overview of Creative Europe, its priorities, the funding opportunities and how to put together a successful application.

—Katie Lowry and Audrey Keane, who look after Creative Europe's Culture sub-programme in Ireland, will also participate in the event.
