According to the government official, speaking at the launching ceremony of the hearing process, the initiative will cover the country’s eighteen provinces and is part of the 2013/2017 National Development Programme.
Carolina Cerqueira said that this move is also intended to implement a directive from the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, about the need to dialogue with cultural agents.
“We are materialising a very precise guideline given to us by the head of the Executive, Presidente José Eduardo dos Santos, we instructed us to listen to opinion-makers, to interact with art makers, musicians, and find solutions to the problems”, she said
