Ukrainian Cultural Foundation gathering information on damage and destruction of cultural heritage sites

We ask witnesses of destruction of cultural heritage from all regions of Ukraine to send photo or video evidences to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy to the resource: https://culturecrimes.mkip.gov.ua

In particular, an example of the war crime may be:

  • damaging of ancient buildings (architectural monuments), historical cemeteries, monuments, religious buildings, works of art, natural monuments, buildings of cultural institutions - theaters, museums, libraries, etc.
  • destruction of archeological objects - mounds, shafts of ancient earthen fortifications, excavation sites, etc.
  • facts of injury / death of civilians as a result of the weapons use in an attempt to damage cultural facilities by the occupiers
  • seizure of property, looting of museums, libraries and other cultural institutions by the occupiers.
