Government approves national policy intended to benefit 800,000 Afro-Peruvians

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday signed Supreme Decree No. 005-2022-MC approving the National Policy for the Afro-Peruvian People (PNPA) to 2030, which will benefit more than 800,000 Afro-Peruvians.

The PNPA provides actions to improve the quality of life of the Afro-Peruvian people and promotes the exercise of their economic, social, political, and cultural rights.
