The Smithsonian Institution and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts signed a cultural agreement between Cambodia and the United States to expand professional development, increase information sharing, and promote Cambodian culture.
The signing ceremony took place at the National Museum in Phnom Penh on Tuesday with Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts Pen Mony Makara and Director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art Chase Robinson signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, and Patrick Murphy, US Ambassador to Cambodia.
