INCD announces new leadership
IFACCA/Artshub,
16 June 2004, Canada
The International Network for Cultural Diversity held its first democratic election in May and is pleased to announce the newly elected Steering Committee for the organisation.
The Steering Committee is comprised of cultural leaders, artists and activists from around the world with positions allocated to ensure regional diversity. Traditionally, the committee have been appointed by a meeting of members. The 2004 democratic election took place using an on-line election site which enabled INCD members from all over the world to vote.
To compensate for a lack of numbers, some appointments will still need to be made (ie. two seats from the Middle East, which currently have no candidates).
The new committee will be taking up its duties as of July 1st, 2004.
