This policy tool-kit is intended to support all those developing policies for partnerships between museums, libraries and archives. Local institutions can achieve more for their organisation, staff and users, if they get support from policy agencies and funding bodies. The tool-kit will benefit decision-makers at a community, regional and national level by focusing on effective ways of creating user-responsive services. Those who contribute to democracy and citizenship, lifelong learning, social and economic development and cultural diversity through their policies will be given new ways of thinking through and acting on these issues. In conjunction with other aspects of CALIMERA to which this policy tool-kit points, this project looks at key issues for policy development.
