Pro Helvetia, the Arts Council for Switzerland, has launched a CD-ROM project on Swiss Dance, aimed at international cultural organisers. The CD-ROM, Swiss Dance Selection 2004, offers comprehensive information on contemporary Swiss dance and features written material and video clips that document contemporary dance work in Switzerland. The CD features all the independent companies that received support from Pro Helvetia in 2003 as well as the more reknowned institutional dance companies. The selection of ensembles is based on their latest work, taking into account not only their cultivation of international standards but their pursuit of continual development. The publication is primarily aimed at international cultural organizers and impresarios who would like to gain a picture of the Swiss dance scene.
