Pro Helvetia, the Arts Council of Switzerland, will be awarding a total of 250,000 Swiss francs in 2005 to creative arts projects connected with the swixx theme of exploring the relationship between culture and migration. In recognising that a substantial proportion of the artists working in Switzerland have foreign roots, the swixx programme serves to foster interaction and exchange with Swiss artists and cultural practitioners to help shape the country’s cultural landscape, be it in music, the visual arts, literature, theatre, dance or popular culture.
