National Director

The Creative City Network of Canada is seeking a National Director to helm its operations. The not-for-profit corporation’s core members are municipal staff with responsibilities for arts, culture and heritage in cities across Canada. The network provides online and face-to-face opportunities to work together, share knowledge, and further professional development. The National Director reports directly to the President of the Board of Directors (who, composed of municipal cultural staff, broadly represents the regions of Canada). The National Director is responsible for managing a small staff in an office located in Vancouver. The National Director:
  • champions and advocates for municipal cultural planning and practices as a key tool for building a livable and sustainable community;
  • is responsible and accountable for the strategic management of the Network and the leadership of a team; and
