Pro Helvetia changes

IFACCA/Artshub,
26 April 2006, Switzerland

Pro Helvetia has taken a look at their corporate structure over the past year, and has made a few changes. Despite having CHF 2 million less to spend on its activities, the organisation has minimised the impact to artists across Switzerland. Jobs and operating costs were cut, with administration costing 15.8% of total costs and production costs being 17.3% of the total. Pro Helvetia is now on average with other arts council figures. The new President, Mario Annoni, will now be reviewing the legal foundations of the cultural policies, and building cooperation between the organisation and other partners. Pro Helvetia has also reviewed its activities for last year, with a drop in funding applications due to stricter guidelines and more advice available to applicants. Other activities included art programs in Japan, and offices being closed in European countries. For more information, CLICK HERE.
