The Australia Council for the Arts recently released a report into the development of script writing for theatre across the country. This research report was commissioned by the Theatre Board of the council to look into script development organisations and to survey script programs in Australian theatre in 2005. Some of the outcomes have suggested that there are large gaps in the script development process, including bridging the leap from script creation to theatre production.
