Fixed-term for five years Reference Number: 26238 QUT’s Creative Industries Faculty has a distinctive reputation for its strong vocational focus, links with industry and breadth of course offerings throughout a growing and changing industry sector. The Faculty delivers a range of courses focusing on the elements common to all creative activity—design, performance, production and writing. The QUT Creative Industries Faculty teaches across these fields and places them within the new creative industries framework, stressing enterprise development and pro-active career management. The University is seeking exceptional candidates for three Portfolio Director positions within this dynamic faculty. The successful candidates for these positions will be expected to foster excellence in research, learning and teaching and engagement activities within the Faculty, the University and the community and will provide management to all staff within one of the discipline groupings: - Acting and Technical Production/Performance Studies, Creative Writing and Cultural Studies, Film and Television - Communication Design/Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Sound - Fashion, Journalism/Media and Communication. We seek to make appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidates. Appointments will be fixed-term for five years.
