We are pleased to release our latest D'Art report, Support for Major Performing Arts Organisations: Preliminary Report on Definitions and Issues, a first step in our co-hosting a mini-summit on this topic with the Australia Council for the Arts in Adelaide, Australia, in early 2008. The aim of the D’Art is twofold: to identify key senior executives in national arts councils and ministries of culture to take part in the mini-summit; and to identify key themes and issues and develop information resources for the mini-summit. The report outlines preliminary information on definitions of major performing arts organisations adopted by agencies, and a prioritised list of issues identified by the 15 respondents from 14 countries. More information on the mini-summit will be announced later in the year.
