The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is looking for a new Director of Culture.

DCMS's mission is to unlock creative and sporting talent. The Department is looking for an experienced leader to join its executive team, working with a diverse range of partners to meet this inspiring challenge.

Following a capability review, the DCMS is revising its structure to ensure it is best able to meet the challenges in the years running up to 2012. Its aim is to be a flexible, focused and creative organisation. The Department is recruiting for a Director of Culture to lead on the department’s interests in this sector. The Director of Culture will have a key role in giving objective, evidence-based advice to Ministers, and working with a variety of teams within their directorate and across the department to implement and deliver policy on their behalf. Directors in DCMS are members of the Executive Leadership Team with a corporate role in assessing the department’s priorities and leading delivery of its programmes and projects.
