At its first ordinary session (Ottawa, 10-13 December 2007), the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions adopted two decisions calling on Parties to the Convention to provide written contributions should they wish to do so.

Decision 1.IGC/6, paragraph 5 – The Secretariat will present an interim report on the preparation of operational guidelines for the use of the resources of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) at the Committee’s first extraordinary session in June 2008.

Decision 1.IGC/5B, paragraph 4 – Parties are invited to present proposals on the modalities for implementing Article 13 of the Convention regarding the integration of culture in sustainable development policies, for examination by the Committee at its ordinary session in December 2008.
