The Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (MCCA) would like to announce a temporary measure for institutions or individuals who provide training of the Arts. The said entities are required to register as a tuition centre with the Directorate for Quality and Standards in Education (DQSE) (http://www.education.gov.mt/edu/schools/tuition_centres.htm). Once registered with the DQSE, the entities are to send a letter to the MCCA asking to be temporarily registered for Accreditation in the training of the arts.
This will be a temporary measure pending appropriate accreditation and quality assurance structures. Once these are in place, the MCCA will inform the public of the new procedures. The tuition centres which will be temporarily registered will be able to immediately tap council and state incentives such as VAT Exemption for training of the Arts, until further provisions from the appropriate structures are set up.
