Azerbaijani minister of culture and tourism Abulfas Garayev met with Director General of the Russian State Library Alexander Visliy. Greeting the guest Mr. Garayev said that, relations between Azerbaijan and Russia were rapidly developing in all spheres, including the library science.
The Minister informed about application of the e-library system and e-catalogues in Azerbaijan. Abulfas Garayev later said that, there were organized book fairs, book holidays for the purpose of ensuring interests of readers at the capital and regions, regular meetings with the leaders of libraries of CIS, Turkic and Islamic countries.
Mr. Visliy expressed his admiration for beauty and construction works in Baku city. Mr.Visliy updated the Minister about activity and structure of the library. He said the Russian State Library is keen to cooperate with National Library of Azerbaijan. The meeting was focused on exchange of mutual cooperation and experience.
