UNESCO has signed a letter of intent with the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan to join forces and promote the legacy of the Silk Roads as part of UNESCO’s mandate to promote intercultural dialogue and peace. Azerbaijan is a historic centre of cultural and commercial exchanges along the Silk Roads, including both tangible and intangible heritage.
