The Valletta 2018 Foundation is responsible for Valletta’s application for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2018. Following a succesful pre-selection phase concluded last January, it is currently in the process of finalising its application with the aim of being granted the title this October. The Foundation is now issuing a call for a contract for service for an Artistic Director to direct the development of the Cultural Programme which is a crucial part of Valletta’s bid for the title and its implementation as from the end of this year. S/he will be responsible for the overall artistic vision and lead a team of other specialised artistic directors.
