The National Lottery is an important lifeline to millions of South Africans. As a result of its grants, excellent work is done by NGOs and NPCs around South Africa. All are important, vital even, to the soul, health and economy of our fragile society. Thus it is with distress that we read of the proposed regulation changes published by the Department of Trade and Industry.
