The Department of Arts and Culture is accepting proposals to fund work-streams in the arts sector for the Mzansi Golden Economy (MGE) 2015-2016. The MGE was launched in 2011 to ensure economic growth and prosperity in the arts, culture and heritage sector.
"The core mandate of the Department of Arts and Culture is to use the arts to contribute to job creation, skills development and encouraging economic self-reliance towards nation building and social cohesion," Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa said.
