IETM, international network for the performing arts, launches Fund-Finder, a guide to funding opportunities for the arts and culture in Europe. The publication, available for free download, provides a detailed and easy-to-read overview of public and private funding opportunities at local, national and regional level, in Europe and beyond, and describes in a simple and clear language how artistic and cultural projects can fit with the objectives of several EU funding programmes other than Creative Europe.
Rationale
While discussions about funding for the arts and culture often focus on shrinking budgets, a major problem for our sector today is in fact the access to relevant information about public and private funding opportunities that continue to be available at national and international level. On another hand, from a European perspective, it is important to remember that other EU funding programmes beyond Creative Europe can also fund projects with a cultural or artistic component – what is crucial, again, is to find the appropriate information.
Building on these two considerations, IETM has produced Fund-Finder: a concise and easy-to-read guide providing a comprehensive overview of funding opportunities for the arts and culture at local, national, regional and international level, and presenting in a simple and clear language how artistic and cultural projects can fit with the objectives of several EU funding programmes other than Creative Europe. Additional links, resources and examples of selected projects make Fund-Finder an invaluable tool helping artists and cultural professionals from different disciplines to search autonomously for relevant funding opportunities that may suit their projects.
The new IETM publication is coordinated by On the Move, the cultural mobility information network born over 13 years ago as an initiative of IETM, and builds on its expertise as well as on the knowledge of other reliable experts and organisations.
