Yesterday, the people of Canada elected a Liberal government. Congratulations to all who debated the issues and values that matter to our society, and to the Liberal Team, which clearly reiterated its commitment to the arts and culture during the campaign. The Canada Council for the Arts' new funding model aims to respond to the expectations and aspirations of citizens and artists. Our vision for the arts in Canada is inclusive, open, and we look forward to continuing to invest in the arts – for our future, for all Canadians.
