On the sidelines of the visit to the Centre Pompidou-Metz today, the Prime Minister announced a credit the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
This is a strong gesture from the Government to the Culture, following an increase of the budget in 2016, in a time when it is important to strengthen the collective belonging to the nation.
Culture, through heritage, creation, transmission of knowledge and cultural democratization, participates fully.
It is also a signal for local authorities. The additional resources will benefit indeed to the whole territory and often co-financed projects with local actors.
The majority of funds made available immediately support throughout France, the creation, production and distribution for all creative sectors by enabling the development of cultural employment and structuring of artistic teams.
The thaw also finance actions of the Ministry of Culture and Communication in arts and cultural education, with a special effort for young people most in need.
Finally, the unfrozen funds will accelerate the integration of young creators and foster network innovation by creating "fablabs" artistic incubators and nurseries.
