Over the next three years, the Swedish Arts Council will distribute more than 100 million krona for cultural activities in residential areas with low voter turnout or other socio-economic challenges. The aim of the new programme is for more people to get involved in and take part of the culture of their neighborhood. Eligible projects must involve collaboration among multiple stakeholders. At least one player must be an organization of civil society with local support in the area where the project will be implemented. The projects will be run by, with and for the residents of the residential area and aim to get more people involved in cultural life.
