Following the adoption of a new law on copyright on 31 March 2016, a Council of Ministers have made three crucial decisions to completely reform the field of copyright and related rights.
The decision includes the creation of the National Council for Copyright, a specialised collegial body for approving remuneration tariff methodology works of copyright consumed by users in Albania; the regulation of copyright tariffs; and the regulation of procedures of registration of copyrights.
