The Ministry of Culture every year as part of the regular documentation and analytical activities carried out a survey in the general funding of public cultural needs and the protection and preservation of cultural property in the Republic of Croatia (at the state and local levels).
The purpose of the research is to obtain timely and comparable data on the whole public funding of culture in the Republic of Croatia for the purpose of determining whether the state program of public needs in culture and the adoption of strategies for protection, conservation and economic use of cultural heritage. In the context of Croatian membership in the European Union, the study should serve as an important contribution to the harmonization of financial indicators Croatian with European cultural statistics.
