A unique opportunity brought the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and the State Opera House of Saarbrücken, Germany together in Canberra to perform the International Opera Gala on 8 July.

We chatted to various representatives from the Canberra Symphony Orchestra and the German Embassy about the importance of the event and the benefit it has for both countries.

Music is a universal language which enhances cultural and artistic understanding across countries. The Government supports international artistic collaboration and supported this event through the International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund.
