Bengbu, Anhui province, is named the permanent host of the Taihu World Cultural Forum at a news conference in Beijing on Wednesday. Dignitaries who attended the news conference included: (from left to right) Li Huilai, deputy director of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs; Zhou Shuchun, publisher and editor-in-chief of China Daily; Yan Zhaozhu, chairman of the forum; Huang Xiaowu, Party secretary of Bengbu; and Ma Guoxiang, a member of the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association.
