The Government has introduced legislation to establish new functions within Creative Australia. The Australia Council Amendment (Creative Australia) Act 2023, amends the Australia Council Act 2013, to transfer the functions of Creative Partnerships Australia, including staff, into the Australia Council from 1 July 2023.

In the form it is drafted, this legislation, once passed, will replace the Australia Council Act 2013 and we will become Creative Australia. The change in branding to Creative Australia will be confirmed once the Bill completes the Parliamentary process.
