This conference is organized by EUCLID and announced as a key event within the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. It comprises two days of presentations, panels and workshops, highlighting and exploring ideas and good practice in creativity and innovation, and its importance for our economies, our societies and our futures.

Speakers and panelists come from across the UK. A keynote is given from Feargal Sharkey, CEO of UK Music, accompanied by panel discussions with creative practitioners, representatives from the business sector, educators, researchers and policy makers.

Michael Wimmer/EDUCULT will run a workshop on “Enabling teachers to reflect the dimension of creativity”: This workshop will provide a round table setting to give the participants the chance to exchange

• in which way “creativity” and “innovation” finds its expression in their work

• which are the particular problems which are hindering “creativity”

• which are the expectations and perspectives (and who should do what to come closer to the realisation of these perspectives)

The workshop will go on to explore possible conclusions and recommendations in the following areas: - personal/professional, procedural, institutional and in terms of governance
