Australia Council Chair Terry Cutler has launched a new website aimed at community cultural development workers nationwide. Managed by the Community Arts Network of South Australia (CAN SA), http://ccd.net will carry information, jobs and events listings, debate forums and other resources for those employed in or interested in CCD practice. CAN SA Director, Julia Tymukas, commented: 'Community cultural development is still a relatively new approach to the arts and cultural development in Australia. The site will highlight philosophical perspectives and different models of working within communities. It will encourage debate and discussion at a local level and ensure that the ownership of our practice is firmly based in the community.' Development of the site was funded collaboratively by the Australia Council and Arts South Australia, to the tune of $120,000. The site can be found online at: www.ccd.net
