Provide executive management support for the Director-General, including: *Formulation and determination of strategic policy advice to the government and the arts community on key issues impacting on the arts and cultural sector, including the articulation of an arts and cultural policy for the State; *Executive management of the Strategic Policy and Research Unit, Business Development and Corporate Capability Unit, the Arts and Cultural Programs Unit and the Public Art Agency to ensure efficient management of resources, co-ordination of services and quality of outputs; *Effective management of the grants programs administered by Arts Queensland; and *Leadership in organisational planning and monitoring of departmental outcomes, including effective delivery of corporate planning, performance management and management information systems initiatives. The position reports directly to the Director-General, and through the Director-General to the Minister on key issues impacting on the Department as directed by the Director-General.
