Eight young arts leaders will take part in the Australia Council’s first-ever international community cultural development residency project, entitled Out There, Everywhere, the Australia Council announced today. The project will see the selected artists work to establish networks, develop projects and share knowledge with arts practitioners, communities and organisations around the world, with the aim of broadening knowledge exchange and improving the skills base of all project participants. ‘It is a community-based arts practice that involves the collaboration of professional artists with communities to create art,’ said Australia Council Community Cultural Development Board Deputy Chair, Alexandra Reid. ‘Through its funding program, the Board supports projects in which the community is involved at every level.’ For more information about the Australia Council, CLICK HERE.
