NT Film, Television and New Media Office Position number: 22725 Primary Objective: To provide strategic leadership of the Northern Territory Film, Television and New Media Office and direct functions, staff and resources to ensure efficient and effective management of the office operations. And, to develop and review policies and programs for implementation in pursuit of government objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Provide expert advice to the Chief Executive, Department of Community Development, Sport and Cultural Affairs and the Minister regarding film, television and new media development and management in the Northern Territory and nationally. 2. Develop and implement services and programs that support the achievement of government objectives. 3. Develop strategic links with individuals, places and organisations that will benefit the NT film, television and new media industries. 4. Develop policy, conduct related research, and provide advice and analysis on issues affecting the industry, particularly as they relate to local and national stakeholders. 5. Develop, implement, monitor and update strategies to attract increasing levels of industry production in the Northern Territory. 6. Contribute to the ongoing policy development, planning and management of the Division of Arts, Museums and Library Services, as part of the senior management team. 7. Represent the Department on appropriate local and national Boards and Committees to ensure professional representation of the Northern Territory.
