An opportunity exists to join the Australia Council as the Director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Division. The Director is responsible for leading the Division and ensuring a thriving and enduring Indigenous arts and cultural life. Can you build on a recently completed strategic review and win recognition of Indigenous Arts as a vital element of Australia’s cultural, social and economic development? Are you a strong communicator? Can you work effectively and credibly across a broad spectrum – from international dignitaries and public sector officials to remote communities and urban artists? Can you lead a diverse team and make things happen? A total remuneration package, appropriate for a Public Sector Senior Executive, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
