Position title Principal Corporate Development Coordinator Vacancy ref AQ524/06 Organisation Arts Queensland Arts Strategy Coordination Occupation Policy, planning & research Classification AO7 Salary $2,764.90 - $2,964.70 per fortnight. ($72,134 - $77,347 per annum). Positions Brisbane - 1 Permanent Closing date Friday, 12 January 2007 Key duties In collaboration with the Executive Director, lead the development of the Arts Queensland Strategic Plan and corporate reporting activities. This includes: - Coordinating corporate planning and reporting responsibilities such as the Ministerial Portfolio Statement, Annual Report and Priorities in Progress through the implementation of frameworks, systems and quality assurance processes; - Developing effective key performance indicators and performance measurement capability within the arts and cultural strategy of Arts Queensland; - Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on each program’s performance and outcomes against the frameworks established. - Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of an operational planning framework for Arts Queensland including the evaluation of outcomes against the planning framework. - Undertake assessment of corporate business reporting and research initiatives at state, national and international levels that have implications for the delivery of arts and cultural services. - Through research, analysis and performance measurement activities, recommend to the Arts Queensland Senior Management Team, enhancements to assessing and measuring the delivery of Arts Queensland’s commitments to the arts industry and government stakeholders. - Prepare and deliver education/information sessions on strategic planning, corporate planning and reporting to internal business units and across the Arts portfolio. - Lead and participate in project teams responsible for the development and review of: corporate business and reporting frameworks; evaluation frameworks for assessing the delivery of Arts Queensland’s programs and initiatives; and research programs and priorities, to ensure their integration, consistency with government and achievement of arts sector objectives. - Lead and participate in complex research and analysis tasks to inform and develop the delivery of arts and cultural services. - Identify and provide advice on the statistical needs and research priorities of Arts Queensland and coordinate the research program to inform the development of strategic policy proposals and initiatives. - Represent Arts Queensland in a variety of forums at a state or national level. Selection criteria - Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective best practice strategic planning processes and corporate reporting systems including measuring, monitoring and evaluation of organisational strategies and initiatives. - Demonstrated project management ability with a high level of self motivation, including skills in planning and managing projects to achieve timely and effective results. - Demonstrated effective communication skills including experience in – - Developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders; negotiating with a range of stakeholders with conflicting priorities; and preparing and presenting briefings, submissions and reports on complex issues. - Demonstrated experience in managing and participating in multi-disciplined project teams, where coordination across business units is a feature. - Highly developed problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to research and provide advice on complex policy and/or corporate development issues. - Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour. Further info: Travel and overnight absences from base will be required. There is a requirement to attend exhibitions, art functions, performances, conferences, seminars, meetings and events as a representative of Arts Queensland in the evenings/weekends and to travel when required.
