The Secretary of Culture, Dr. Ramón Rivas, participated in the launch of "The Artist Magazine", in El Salvador at the Forma Museum. The magazine is a specialized art magazine that aims to project the visual arts in Central America.

"The Artist Magazine" is published every two months and was first launched in Guatemala. It now expands to El Salvador where Monica Bruch will direct the publication.

"For art there are no borders and less for El Salvador and Guatemala, art should be unified, and this will be a project of nation and region," says Mónica Bruch.

It is hoped that The Artist Magazine will be more than an informative magazine and is it is expected to become a reference for specialized art consultations.

The current edition is number eight and the next edition is already being edited. The magazine is expected to expand to Nicaragua, Honduras and Costa Rica.

For his part, the Secretary of Culture said that "without doubt this media is critical because, like the Revista Cultura published by the Directorate of Publications of the Ministry of Culture, it seeks to integrate the critical cultural thinking of all sectors of society. It becomes a window for artists to learn, interpret, judge and propose topics of interest to the artistic community of Central America, and why not say, of Latin America ".

Dr. Rivas added: "We expect that the magazine will be affordable for the entire artistic community and stakeholders in the country, among whom who work in the Ministry of Culture, because we want to keep updated about the feelings, thinking and work of the artist, especially young people that turn into art as a form of self-expression.
