Minister for Culure and Tourism, Dario Francescini states: "The government is modernizing its commitment in favor of the Italian cinema and increases funding by 60%. The bill is to create a completely self-funded support system for the film and audiovisual industry. Resources are guaranteed with some 400 million euro per year (+150 million, + 60%) and for young authors automatic financing instruments with strong incentives for those investing in new facilities and protection of cinemas, theaters and historical libraries."
