Ready to Borrow: upgrading exhibition spaces

We’re making £2.4 million available to museums through the second round of the Ready to Borrow scheme.

This programme allows museums to borrow from national organisations, by helping them upgrade exhibition spaces. This will give more people around the country the opportunity to learn from and enjoy cultural objects.

The funds will be distributed by our nine Museum Development partners across the country as small grants.

Interested organisations should contact their local Museum Development provider.

The first round of the scheme in 2015 led to over 60 museums in England developing their capacity and readiness for borrowing objects.
