The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) entered into a partnership agreement with La Chartreuse de Villeneuve lez Avignon – France aimed at setting up an artist and studio-apartment residency exchange program between Québec and France, in the discipline of theatre intended for children’s and youth audiences (drama writers).
In the context of this exchange, a dramatic author from Québec writing for the children’s-youth audience can reside for a two-month sojourn at La Chartreuse de Villeneuve lez Avignon. In return, a French dramatic author writing for the children’s-youth audience will be hosted in Québec, in Montréal, by the Centre international de recherche et de création en théâtre pour l’enfance et la jeunesse, Le Cube (Le Cube), for a writing residency of equal duration.
