The government has today handed over the proposal A Strengthened Minority Policy (Prop 2017/18: 199) to the Riksdag. The proposals submitted aim at strengthening the basic protection of the languages and cultures of the national minorities and for strengthening the enhanced rights that exist in the Finnish, Meänkieli and Sámi administrative areas.
