An ongoing report by the German Federal Government’s Centre of Excellence for the Cultural and Creative Industries in Germany, conducted on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, analyses the extent to which the cultural and creative industries (CCIs) are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany, estimating that the national film industry will lose between 33% and 72% of its annual turnover (a total of about €3.4 billion-€7.3 billion) because of the pandemic.
