The Creative Industries Report 2023 shows that the Austrian creative industries comprise about 50,000 companies with about 170,000 employees. The sector has generated revenues of € 24 billion, which have increased significantly by 13 % from the first Corona year 2020 to 2022. The decisive factors for this are the continued positive development of the software sector in particular, the recovery of the creative industries that were heavily affected by the Corona measures, such as the film and music industries, but also price increases.
