Galway, 27 and 28 March 2019

Places Matter is a biennial conference series and a partnership between the Arts Council and Local Government. The next Places Matter conference will take place in Galway on 27 and 28 March 2019. 

The conference theme is creating diverse participation in the arts. We will explore how arts organisation can grow and diversify their audiences and participation based on Ireland’s rapidly changing and diverse demographic.

• Nina Simon, Director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History. 
• Abid Hussain – Director of Diversity Arts Council England
• Professor William Schabas – Chairman of the Irish Centre for Human Rights at the National University of Ireland, Galway
