Mr Armfield, the new Co-Director of the Adelaide Festival, has stated:"There is absolutely an us and them mentality emerging and that is in nobody's interests". He said he disagreed with the NPEA concept and believed the Australia Council should be left alone, but understood why the majors were staying silent. "No-one wants to be seen to be protesting against the man [Mr Brandis] who is holding $105 million," he said.
